I met a couple friends for lunch yesterday at what has quickly become our favorite lunch place, The Good Day Cafe. We started meeting there because it was centrally located to where the three of us worked, and we had such a good experience, we just keep meeting there. For good reason.


Today I ordered the Iggy’s Fried Egg sandwich, served with their delicious Good Day Cafe potatoes. I substituted bacon for the ham (duh) and the potatoes were crisp and, and, um, I want to know what else was in them because they were delicious.


The girls shared the BLT&A, which can not be beat. The also ordered side salads, which were huge. Not sure what they could be considered the side of, but they were loaded with vegetables. And the buns that came with them were just adorable. Yum.

Did I also mention there’s a bakery on site, and I happened to find a cookie on the way out?

I met a couple friends for lunch last week and this really adorable cafe just down the highway from my office. When I meet these two, we try to pick a central location, and someplace with easy/free parking. The Good Day Cafe, just off of Hwys 100 and 394, in St. Louis Park is the perfect spot for us to convene. Not only is a great location, they serve great food.


Open for breakfast and lunch, they serve real food in a fun, friendly atmosphere. I ordered a favorite, a BLT with Avocado. The bacon was crisp and thick and had very little fat on it, but actual meat. The bread was perfectly toasted and the french fries, well, these were real fries, made from potatoes and probably fried twice. Fries this good DO NOT make me feel guilty because you can taste the love that went into each and every one of the them. And I ate each and every fry I found on my plate. (more…)
